Ryan Neilson’s first solo album, Four Walls, is original, inspiring and carefree. The young 22 year old Nova Scotian singer and musician’s music is light, fun and simple. The playful melodies capture your attention and you are left with wondering what the next song will bring.
Neilson, a graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Music, sharpened his music career performing in the past for various musical groups including the Acadia Big Band and his own student band, Los Mafiosos.
The lyrics included in the album touch on realistic issues and bring a positive outlook to life. His music style and voice is comparable to that of Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Eric Clapton. The future is bright for this artist and his album definitely deserves a listen.
