Beads, masks, music and southern food will just be some of the sights, sounds and tastes of the Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce’s annual Mardi Gras theme Trade Fair on April 25 and 26.

Ponoka will be part of the beats that will be rocking the roof off the John L. Haar theatre at the MacEwan Music’s Percussion Concert at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton on March 30.

The soft white lights dimmed the ballroom of the Ponoka Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Pink, brown and white party balloons, red and orange roses and other flowers helped to decorate the room on the evening of Jan. 31.
