Join certified instructor Kris Inglis for a beginner-friendly therapeutic yoga flow class at the Ponoka Aquaplex (5315 46 Ave). This class is ideal for those new to yoga and anyone seeking a mindful, low-impact practice, according to a release.
Classes will run weekly from May 15 to June 19 on Thursdays from 12 to 1 p.m. The cost is $90 for a six-week session or $15 per class.
Registration is open and the last day to sign up for the six classes is May 14.
Slow down and stretch deeply in a calming environment in a yin yoga class at Hudson’s Green Nature and Activity Centre (6210 61 St.) Classes will run weekly from June 2 to July 7 on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $90 for a six-week session.
Registration is open and the last day to secure a spot is June 1.
Both programs require pre-registration. Those interested can register online through the Town of Ponoka website at Ponoka.ca (click on ‘Recreation’ and ‘Recreation Online Booking’). Or they can register in person at the Ponoka Aquaplex (5315 46 Ave.)

The yoga programming is being offered in response to feedback from the 2024 Community Program Survey. Insights from the survey helped the Town of Ponoka create a program road map outlining new events, activities and programs.
