The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is leading a homicide investigation after a dead body was found by hunters in a wooded area in Clearwater County.
The hunters reported the body to Rocky Mountain House RCMP on Friday, Nov. 15. RCMP officers, alongside a Fish and Wildlife officer, responded to the call and confirmed that the body was located.
"The deceased has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the death is being investigated as a homicide. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed and taken over the investigation," RCMP said in a media release on Sunday, Nov. 17.
