I just read with great interested the article and photo regarding Allan and Arthur Dickau's nomination as Small Town Heroes.
We have many great and fond memories of these two senior saints from our time in Ponoka when I was editor of the Ponoka News. Their infectious laugh reached all the way to Winnipeg when I saw their picture. I immediately went to the "Heroes" website and cast my vote.
I have met many people over the years and in my travels across Western Canada but no one can hold a candle to the twins. Best wishes in their bid to become recognized as truly Small Town Heroes, an honour to add to the one they already hold — Ponoka's Greatest Ambassadors.
