I am writing as a business owner and a lifetime citizen of Ponoka. I feel very strongly that we need to keep the Greyhound passenger and freight services in Ponoka. My business is situated next door to Mr. Bill’s Computer and Greyhound Bus Depot. The bus does not stop as long as many of the freight trucks who deliver along our street and in our ally. They do not interfere with businesses.
The bus service is necessary for many businesses to send and receive freight. Also, many of our citizens do not drive and need to travel to appointments and/or to visit family and friends.
I hope the Town will consider the Greyhound services as essential to our town.
