Legacy Place resident questions Rimoka actions

Dear Editor:

I would like to respond to the letter from Nellie Bos in the Jan. 26 issue of the Ponoka News.

First, let me say that that was a very well thought out well worded letter and I agree with it 100 per cent. As a resident of Legacy Place, any concerns or questions I have had have been dealt with in a very professional and courteous manner. All the staff here are very friendly, professional and more than willing to help any way they can. I can’ t tell you how many times I’ve gone to Gerry’s, Rhonda’s or Cathy’s office with questions and was always greeted with a smile and help with what I wanted or had concerns about.

I know there have been letters to the board, mine included, but as of yet, to the best of my knowledge, there have been no replies from the board as to what they based their decision on. I know they never came to the Legacy Place council members nor have I talked to anyone in here that was asked for input. Also, according to the rumor mill, one of the board members was also asked to step down. If, and I repeat, if this is true, why was this not also reported on, and why?

I personally think this was a terrible decision on the board’s part and would very much like to have it explained to me or the Legacy Place council members. Perhaps the board thinks they are above residents questioning their authority.

You are absolutely right Nellie, something here smells very fishy.
