Museum staff tired of litterbugs

.

Dear Editor:

I would like to add my two cents to the comments being made regarding littering by our youths.

One only has to drive by the north end of Centennial Park and the Fort Ostell Museum parking lot to see the mess left by young people after their lunch break. It is amazing that such a mess can be created every day and when left it does not bring anyone in to pick it up.

Yes, town staff and museum staff are paid but it really shouldn’t be their job to pick up after someone else’s children. It is a shame these young people, who are considered responsible enough to drive vehicles, are not responsible enough to clean up after themselves. It’s not a very good example to show visitors to our community of how we live day to day.

We’re tired of picking up after you.

Museum Coordinator
