Ponoka RCMP are looking for four masked suspects in an armed robbery with a sawed-off bolt-action rifle at The Liquor Store on 54 Street.

The incident occurred Oct. 30 at 7:50 p.m., say police, and an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor was taken.

“Four young males, wearing all black, with balaclavas covering their faces, entered the store,” states a press release.

One of the suspects was carrying a sawed-off bolt-action rifle.

Police say that the suspects took numerous bottles of liquor while the armed suspect walked the female clerk to her till and emptied all the cash out.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction, say police, adding that no one was injured in the incident.
