FortisAlberta is sponsoring free Family Day swims from Feb. 15 to 17 in several Central Alberta communities.
The free swims are part of the company's commitment to connect to their customers and give back to the communities they serve, according to a press release.
"This exciting initiative will take place throughout the Family Day weekend and will be hosted at aquatic centres across our service territory."
In Wetaskiwin, there will be a free swim at the Manluk Centre on Feb. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those in Leduc can head to the Leduc Recreation Centre for a free swim on the same day from 5 to 7 p.m.
At the Ponoka Aquaplex, the sponsored swim will be on Feb. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Lacombe residents can dive in at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre, free of charge, on Feb. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m.
There will be a free swim at the NexSource Centre in Sylvan Lake on Feb. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Some of the other communities with swims sponsored by FortisAlberta include Camrose, Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley and Innisfail.
