Police, ambulance and fire responded to a scene south of Wetaskiwin near the Bear Paw Trading Post early on Nov. 7.

"At 8:37 a.m. RCMP received a call about a two-vehicle collision at Range Road 243 and Township Road 254," said Alberta RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Troy Savinkoff.

"Both vehicles went into the ditch with heavy damage after the collision. The fire department and EMS arrived, and one individual was transported by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital," he said.

At this point, a ticket was given to one of the drivers for not obeying a stop sign before entering an intersection, he said.
