Businesses in Ponoka have until Dec. 31 to renew their business licences for the 2025 year.
Businesses that operate, provide or sell a product or service within or partially within the town of Ponoka corporate boundaries are required to have a valid Ponoka business licence and renew it annually as per the Business Licence Bylaw No. 443-20.
Approved business licences for the 2024 year will expire on Dec. 31.
When renewing a licence, provide any changes in business information, such as:
• a change of business location
• contact information and/or a change in ownership
Notification of all changes, such as those listed above, should be provided in writing by emailing permits@ponoka.ca. Renewal notices were recently mailed to all local businesses prior to the postal strike. If you have not received a renewal notice, email permits@ponoka.ca or phone 403-783-0119.
Options for paying for your business licence during the postal strike
• pay in person at the town office by cash, debit, credit or cheque
• pay through your bank, either in person or online
• pay with a credit card by using the town’s credit card payment slip or call 403-783-0119. Please fill in the payment slip with your credit card information, your signature, and dollar amount for the bill payment. Note: credit card numbers are not kept on file.
