At approximately 1:50 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2020, Maskwacis RCMP responded to an assist EMS call at a house on the Ermineskin Cree Nation.
A female was found deceased on the floor of the living room and appeared to have suffered injuries.
RCMP Major Crimes were called in to investigate and as a result of the investigation 18-year-old Kaydence Clarke Roasting of Ermineskin Cree Nation was arrested at his residence.
Roasting has been charged with 2nd degree murder and has been remanded into custody and will appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on Jan. 28, 2021.
