Maskwacis woman dies in car crash near Ashmont

A 40-year-old female resident of Maskwacis died in a motor vehicle collision on April 23, near Ashmont, Alta. 

At about 8 a.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle head on collision between two trucks near the intersection of Highway 28 and Highway 36.

The woman was declared deceased on scene. One male with serious injuries was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital.

Impairment by drugs or alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
