The Ponoka Community Theatre wrapped up their production of The Sound of Music on Sunday, Dec. 8, completing their run of six performances.
The iconic musical was brought to life on the stage at Ponoka United Church by a talented cast and crew directed by Maree Okabe.
The main leads Captain von Trapp and Maria were played by Todd and Jula Lewis, the real-life married couple proving they had the acting chops - and pipes - to portray the beloved roles.
The von Trapp family children were played by Sarah Whyte (Liesl), Liam Lougheed (Friedrich), Sierra Montesano (Louisa), Vivienne Unland (Brigitta), Annika Hallworth/Ruby Dye (Marta) and Lisa Perner (Gretl).
Other leads included Ethan Lougheed as Rolf, Adam Koning as Max Detweiler and Chelsea Berreth as Baroness Elsa Schraeder.
