There was a bouncy castle, draws, kids corner, speeches and a cake cutting

Ponoka McDonald's franchise owners Tony and Teresa Hoffmann celebrated the restaurant's 25th anniversary on Sept. 28 with employees and customers.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there was a bouncy castle, kids games and prize draws. At 1:30 p.m., dignitaries were to give speeches, followed by a cake cutting.

Red-Deer Lacombe MP Blaine Calkins had stopped by the celebration earlier in the day. Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson was also expected to give remarks but was absent.

Employees and invitees listened to a video recorded message from corporate congratulating them on their hard work and success.
