On Sept. 13 the canola at the Ponoka food grains growing project was swathed.

The 150 acres was swathed in three hours with five swathers. This is the 21st year for the project and the first year at our new location just north of Ponoka on Range Road 254.

The Ponoka food grains growing project would like to thank all the volunteers and donations as this would not be possible without them.

The harvest date is set for Oct. 12 weather permitting.
