The end of the Walk ‘N’ Roll Challenge is coming up quickly. Residents have until Aug. 31 to log their trips.
The Town of Ponoka is competing with Wainwright and Stettler in this contest to see which town can register the most trips — including walking, biking or rolling to destinations rather than driving.
The Town of Ponoka is currently in the lead, and if Ponoka wins, the town plans to hold a free victory barbecue with free public skating at the Ponoka Arena Complex to celebrate.
More details about the barbecue will be announced in early September after the winner of the challenge has been declared.
Visit the town’s website at www.ponoka.ca to log trips, even those going back as far as May 1, and for more contest details and information on how to win monthly prizes.
