WATCH: Truck stolen Tuesday morning in Ponoka

Security video captured the alleged theft in the Southwest Industrial Park in Ponoka Dec. 19

Security cameras captured the alleged theft of a pickup in Ponoka Tuesday morning.

Pickup owner Jeremy Acton had just started his grey Toyota Tundra to warm it up at RTS Services in Ponoka in the Southwest Industrial Park in Ponoka Dec. 19 at approximately 9 a.m., when it was subsequently stolen. The alleged incident was captured by security camera video from RTS Services.

It appears the suspects knew what they were looking for.

The video shows a small black SUV driving up to the business and parking next to the grey Toyota Tundra that was left running.

One suspect, wearing what appears to be a white hoodie, steps out from the driver’s side of the SUV before strolling over to the Tundra.

It took about 35 seconds before they hopped into the Tundra and drove off, following the SUV.

Acton said he as surprised at the brazen act as there were staff in the office at the time.
