Two suspects entered the Riverside Motor Inn attempting to steal money from the till.
Ponoka RCMP say the incident occurred Sunday with both suspects wearing black hoodies and one wearing a white balaclava while the other wore a black balaclava.
Police say that one suspect waited at the front door while the other ran up to the till and opened it.
“The till was empty and both suspects fled on foot to the rear of the building,” state Ponoka RCMP
No one was injured or threatened during the incident.
Both suspects are estimated at 6 feet tall and police believe a newer model black truck might have been involved.
