ATV driver, 45, dies in quad crash

A memorial service will be held Aug. 12 for the 45-year-old Ponoka man who died July 29 after his quad plummeted over a cliff at Big Horn Dam, west of Rocky Mountain House.

RCMP say four people were riding their ATVs at night when the machine driven by Martin “Woody” Wood went over a cliff. He was found dead at the bottom of the cliff.

A celebration of Wood’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Auditorium Aug. 12 at 2 p.m.
