Bashaw RCMP make arrest following school threats

Student at Alix-MAC School made threats to harm students

At 1:00 p.m. on Dec. 22nd the Bashaw RCMP responded to a report that a student of Alix-MAC School was making threats to harm students at the school.

At the time of this incident, there were limited students and staff at the school. The RCMP in coordination with the Wolf Creek School Division Administration worked together to ensure everyone’s safety. A ‘hold and secure’ was put in place at the school.

Stettler and Blackfalds RCMP assisted Bashaw RCMP in the safe arrest of a 15-year-old male student from the school. The investigation remains ongoing by both the RCMP and the Wolf Creek School Division Administration.

No one was harmed, and the RCMP are pleased with the successful resolution to today’s threats. No further information will be provided.
