Break and enter to school north of Ponoka

Ponoka RCMP are investigating a break and enter at the Mamawi Atosketan Native School overnight of Feb. 12. Culprits made away with computers and food but the van was found just north of the school.

Ponoka RCMP are investigating a break and enter case at the Mamawi Atosketan Native School.

Police say the incident occurred overnight of Feb. 12 where unknown suspects entered the school damaging several windows in the process. School computers and food were among the items stolen.

On Feb. 13 police located a white cargo van north of the school. Upon further investigation it was determined the van was stolen out of the Maskwacis area. Inside the van were the stolen computers and food, which have since been returned to the school.

RCMP

Maskwacis RCMP say that a second similar van had been stolen from the Samson Trade Centre. The RCMP is seeking assistance in identifying the suspect(s) involved in this break and enter.
