ORIGINAL STORY:
A local school was under a temporary hold and secure this afternoon.
Wolf Creek Public Schools issued an alert to parents through its notification system shortly after 1 p.m. on Feb. 28 that Ponoka Secondary Campus has been placed in a hold and secure mode.
The reason stated was that some students had allegedly been involved in an incident outside of the school grounds and not during school hours, but also meant there could be a safety issue at the school.
It was explained that this hold and secure was being implemented purely as a precautionary measure and that no threats have been received.
