Breton, Thorsby RCMP investigating suspicious fire

Witnesses report seeing a black Dodge Ram leave the area shortly before the fire

Breton and Thorsby RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire following numerous wildfire reports on June 7 around noon.

Reports described a wildfire in a heavily treed grazing reserve near Range Road 52 and Township Road 464.

Witnesses reported seeing a black Dodge Ram leaving the area at high speed shortly before the fire started, according to an RCMP release.

It is unknown if the Dodge Ram is related to the fire at this time.

While the investigation continues, police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of this Black Dodge Ram.
