A Maskwacis man is facing three serious charges following an incident on March 31.
Justin Simon, 28, appeared in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on April 4 to answer to two counts of aggravated assault and one charge of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
The charges stem from an altercation that took place at a home on the Samson town site. Maskwacis RCMP were called to the home to find two adults suffering from stab wounds. Both were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers initially identified two suspects - a man and a woman. However, the female suspect was later released without charges.
Due to the ongoing and court process, the RCMP will not be providing any further comment on the case.
