Collisions included intoxicated drivers and one with a moose

On Feb., 12, 2021 the Ponoka RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter to a business on Hwy. 2A. This complaint is currently under investigation.

On Feb., 13 the RCMP responded to an attempted theft of a vehicle on 51 St. in Ponoka. The vehicle alarm scared off the suspect. There was no damage to the vehicle.

On Feb. 15, members responded to a complaint of a firearm found at a business on Hwy. 2A. The firearm turned out to be a BB Air gun which was seized by police.

From Feb. 10 to Feb. 16, the Ponoka RCMP responded to six collisions, one involving a moose and four in which the people were intoxicated in a public place and were lodged in cells until sober.
