Detour in place around JJ Collett area south of Morningside during road construction

Accessing the natural area will occur through Range Road 261 for about a week, depending on weather

Road construction around the JJ Collett Natural Area will create a change of access.

For those who enjoy the space, Lacombe County states that access will occur through Range Road 261.

“The detour will be in place from November 2, 2018 until November 9, 2018 (weather conditions could extend the end date),” states Lacombe County.

The county has been going through a road expansion in the area, which has affected the ability for travellers to access JJ Collett.

The county advises motorists drive carefully and obey all signs and speed limits during construction.
