Police have charged the driver in the fatal May long weekend rollover near the Menaik overpass on Highway 2 north of Ponoka.
The 26-year-old Red Deer woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death. A 25-year-old woman, a rear seat passenger, died in the May 18 crash, while the driver and a male passenger in the front seat of the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt received minor injuries.
The driver is scheduled to appear in provincial court Sept. 9.
