The Town of Ponoka is hosting a skating party event called ‘Disco on Ice’ at the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 Street) on Friday, Sept. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to dress up in their favourite disco-era outfit and enjoy skating under a glittering disco ball to a range of music on the large ice surface.
All ages can participate. Children under the age of eight will require direct supervision from a person 16 years of age or older.
Tickets can be purchased during the event at the Ponoka Arena Complex for $2 per person. Residents also have the option to access the event with a Ponoka Arena Complex Pass or Recreation Pass.
The Arena Complex Pass offers access to public skating and shinny hockey during the ice season, and all drop-in programming, such as badminton and basketball.
