Commuters frustrated with the loss of Greyhound services in Ponoka can relax again. Service was re-instated May 3.

Fas Gas temporary manager, Tahir Jutt, confirmed a Greyhound outlet is now open at 5301 Highway 2A.

Jutt said he was in talks with the manager of the Husky gas station, the previous location of Greyhound depot, and Fas Gas decided to take on the project.

“We are trying our best,” Jutt said.

Fas Gas hours are weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Jutt said so far the hours are not scheduled to change with the addition of Greyhound.

On March 19 it was decided Huskey would close its doors to Greyhound due to business conflicts causing many upset Ponoka residents.
