House fires on Montana Cree Nation under investigation

Two separate fires took place in the early hours of Dec. 2

Maskwacis RCMP received a call that two homes in Montana Cree Nation were on fire at around 3 a.m. on Dec. 2, according to Staff Sgt. Dwayne Moore.

The single detached homes were in the same general area but the fires were separate, says Moore.

It appears the homes were unoccupied and an investigation into the cause of the fires in ongoing.

There were no injuries reported as a result of these incidents.
