Man caught “creeping” around

RCMP caught and arrested one man after calls claimed he was lingering around residential property.

On March 22, RCMP first received complaints of the man said to be “creeping” around personal property. When officers arrived to the address, no one was found.

The next day, RCMP received another complaint of a man lingering around private property located near the dump. There, Sgt. Glenn Demaere said officers found a stolen vehicle and arrested a near-by man. Keys to the stolen vehicle were found in the man’s pocket.

Simon Eagle of Hobbema has been charged with possession of stolen property and theft.

Break and enters

Around 1:40 a.m. March 25, RCMP received a complaint that a home in the 52 avenue vicinity had been broken into Demaere said.

A television and computer was stolen and there are no suspects.

Earlier on March 25, a home-alarm went off around 11 p.m. Officers arrived to discover the home on 52 street had been broken into.

After patrolling the area, RCMP arrested three suspects and took them into custody. They were later released.

It is unclear if any items were stolen Demaere said physical evidence is being processed and will be compared to the three suspects.
