Maskwacis RCMP seek to identify suspect in aggravated assault

RCMP are looking for a suspect from a March 23 stabbing

The Maskwacis RCMP Community Response Unit is looking for help from the public to identify a suspect in an aggravated assault.

On March 23, 2020, an RCMP member on patrol located a young male who had been stabbed in the townsite area of Samson First Nation. The 17-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is now in stable condition.

The victim was able to describe the suspect to an RCMP sketch artist. The suspect is described as:

· Indigenous;

· Male;

· Has facial hair;

· Approximately 5’11;

· Around 40 years old with a weathered look; and

· Has acne scarring on his cheeks.
