Maskwacis RCMP welcomes new detachment commander

The Maskwacis RCMP detachment has a new detachment commander, Inspector Leanne MacMillan.

The Maskwacis RCMP detachment has a new detachment commander, Inspector Leanne MacMillan.

Superintendent Gord Stewart, Acting District Commander for Central Alberta District, announced the appointment in a news release dated Oct. 23.

Inspector MacMillan. has been an RCMP member for 19 years, serving all over “E” and “K” Divisions, including Vernon, Prince George, Leduc and most recently the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.

“MacMillan will focus on crime reduction and community engagement, building on the strong ties between the RCMP and the community at large through meaningful dialogue on policing matters,” stated the release.

“She is looking forward to working closely with the Ermineskin, Louis Bull, Montana, and Samson First Nation communities of Maskwacis.”
