Medavie Health Services West presented Violet Smith of the Ponoka Food Bank Association with a cheque for $7,500.

These funds will be used to meet the needs of the community through the ongoing work of the local food bank.

“We are thrilled that Medavie Health Foundation recognizes the long standing relationships Medavie Health Services West has developed in our communities through our long history of providing EMS to this region,” said John Barry, General Manager with MHS West in a press release.

“The work of the Ponoka Food Bank Association is critical to many during these difficult times and supporting the work of the food bank directly aligns with the values of Medavie as a whole. We are extremely proud to present this donation of $7,500 to this program.”

This funding is part of Medavie’s $5M COVID-19 Response Fund, which was established to help communities across Canada address their immediate needs, as well as assist with much-needed recovery efforts as organizations navigate through the pandemic and find new and innovative ways to provide essential services.

Through the Medavie Health Foundation, we continue to work with our partners and local leaders to identify needs in areas where we do business.
