It is believed there were minor injuries in a collision between a semi tractor and a minivan on Highway 2 north of Ponoka.
Emergency crews including Ponoka RCMP, EMS and the Ponoka County East District Fire Department were called just after 2 p.m. on May 5 to the collision which occurred at a turnout just south of Menaik Road.
It is believed a minivan entered the highway lanes in front of a semi tractor. The semi tractor subsequently entered the east ditch and landed on its side while the minivan rotated around until its front stopped under the body of another trailer, which was attached to a different semi.
The northbound lanes were down to one lane until the scene could be cleared and traffic was backed up all the way to the Highway 53 turnoff.
As more information becomes available Ponoka News will update.
