Hobbema RCMP located a young man’s body after responding to a complaint near Montana Bridge Road, approximately three kilometers south of the Samson town-site on April 7.
Ardell Tyson Rain, 17 years old, was found deceased in a field by his family members on April 6 just south of Crane’s Crossing.
Rain had not been in contact with his family since near the end of March and was last seen leaving a residence on the Samson town-site on April 1.
Residents who had seen him leave the residence described him as being intoxicated and not wearing the appropriate clothing for the cold weather.
A preliminary investigation has been done and Rain has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Edmonton on April 7.
The examination determined that Rain’s death was a result of being exposed to the elements and is not considered suspicious. Police are still waiting for the results of the toxicology tests.
