Trees down, first step: Movement has begun for the old Ponoka Hospital on 50 Street. Contractors were out last week clearing trees in preparation for the demolition of the building intended to make way for a new learning centre with the Town of Ponoka leasing the space from Landrex developers. The deal has changed to a 25-year maximum lease, down from the originally proposed 35-years.
