A motorist got out of his pickup truck just in time before it burst into flames.
The Ponoka Fire Department was called to the scene of a truck fire Wednesday afternoon just off of 50 Street on 56 Avenue.
While filming the incident a small explosion came from the truck.
Crews attended the scene of the fully engulfed pickup truck and eventually doused the flames, however, the truck was mostly destroyed due to the flames. It appears another motorist saw smoke coming from the pickup and waved down the male driver, who pulled over and exited the vehicle.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
