Police want help to solve liquor theft

Ponoka RCMP are searching for a suspect in the theft at a local liquor store earlier this month

Ponoka RCMP are hoping the public can provide some help in identifying an individual wanted in connection with a theft at a local liquor store.

Around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 8, the 2A Liquor Store reported the theft of a 60 oz bottle of Alberta Pure Vodka by a suspect who was caught on video surveillance. The suspect is a First Nations male, approximately 30 years old and was wearing a Blue Jays shirt with a hood.

If you recognized the suspect, you are asked to contact Cst. Jennifer Wells at Ponoka RCMP by calling (403) 783-4472. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or go to www.tipsubmit.com. You may be eligible for a cash reward
