Beginning in the first week of November, curbside pick-up of green carts in the Town of Ponoka will happen biweekly (every second week) until the end of April.
What goes in my green cart?
Compostable items that can be placed in the green carts include most kitchen food waste, coffee grounds, cooking oil, eggshells, poultry bones, shellfish, tea bags, certified compostable food containers, food-soiled newsprint and cardboard, facial tissue, food-soiled paper towels and napkins, and leaves.
Please not do put plastics, recyclables or household garbage in the green carts. For example, no diapers, tin cans, chunks of wood or plastic bags please.
