A challenge was issued in hopes of showing just what the Ponoka business sector has to offer.

The Ponoka and District Chamber of Commerce is in the process of creating a promotional video designed to demonstrate to the public that the community is open for business.

“One of our board members Diane Rose came up with a fun way for our members to get some more exposure. It’s a feel good thing to showcase and let people know our businesses are still here,” said chamber executive manager Heather Bendera.

“It will be a video montage that will showcase our businesses through five to 10 second clips that will be put together. It’s a way for the business to have a few seconds to talk about themselves and thank their customers.”

Bendera is hoping to have the project completed and online before the end of June, but the office is still getting submissions from members so there is no definitive date yet.

“The clips are still coming in, but it’s been slow with the chamber and businesses having reduced hours,” she said.

Once the video is finished, it will be posted on the chamber’s website (www.ponokalive.ca) as well as their social media channels: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
