Fishing enthusiasts can now cast their rods along the banks of the Lions Centennial Park Pond, as the pond has once again been stocked with trout and is ready for the season.

The pond was recently restocked by Alberta Fish and Wildlife and the Ponoka Lions Club with approximately 600 fish being added to the pond. Citizens are reminded that a fishing licence is required to fish at Lions Centennial Park pond.

A new fountain is expected to be installed in the coming weeks at Lions Centennial Park pond. The fountain will be operational daily featuring colourful lights that are activated each day at sunset.

A new T-shaped floating dock is expected to be installed this summer. The new dock will have handrails and an access ramp, which will make it more accessible to people with mobility challenges.

Stay tuned for future updates on when the dock will be installed.
