On Dec. 26, 2021, Ponoka RCMP received a complaint of an alarm at the IGA on 50 st in Ponoka.
While RCMP were en-route, they located one of the suspects who, after a short foot pursuit, was arrested.
A second suspect was followed to a nearby residence where police located and arrested him a short time later.
Calvin Neville Fertash, 51, of Ponoka, has been charged with breaking and entering, possession of break in instruments and resisting arrest.
Dylan Matthew Gillard, 21, of Ponoka, has been charged with breaking and entering and possession of break in instruments.
Both individuals have been released on bail with their next court appearance set for Jan. 7, 2022 in Ponoka.
