Ponoka RCMP charge male with fraud offences

On July 18, 2021, Ponoka RCMP entered into an investigation regarding a male breaching conditions of his release. During the subsequent investigation, the male was found to be in possession of a number of personal identification and financial cards in various names.

Greg Allen, 33, of Ponoka has been charged with several offences including two counts of identify fraud, four counts of forgery, two counts of breach of release orders, as well as theft, forgery and misuse of a credit card.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Allen was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on July 30, 2021.
