On May 29 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a complaint of mischief to the Woodlands Adventist School.

The complainant advised there was graffiti on the front door and a broken window at the back of the school. File is currently under investigation.

Livestock trailer detached from vehicle

On June 1 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:35 p.m.

A horse trailer with livestock on board had disconnected somewhere between Camrose and Ponoka. The driver did not notice that the trailer was detached.

The trailer was located by Bashaw RCMP in an upright position. The livestock were still on board and okay.

Theft of fuel

On June 2 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a complaint of theft of fuel from a semi that was parked at the Tim Hortons/Wendys parking lot.

Four hundred litres of fuel was siphoned from the semi. File is currently under investigation.

Charges pending in alleged theft case

Charges are pending on a woman who allegedly stole items and wallets from the Aquaplex dressing room.

It didn’t take long after Ponoka News posted information from Ponoka RCMP on the incident before she was identified.

Police say the incident occurred May 31 where the female suspect entered the main lobby of the Aquaplex and then proceeded into the women’s change room.

The woman allegedly took purses, keys, money and identification.
