Ponoka RCMP investigate theft of cash from ATM

Police say suspects wore hoodies and gloves and broke into the Calnash Ag Event Centre

Ponoka RCMP are investigating the theft of cash from an ATM at the Calnash Ag Event Centre.

Police say at 4:45 a.m. on April 23 unknown suspects broke into the event centre and forced open the ATM in the building.

“Two unknown suspects, wearing hoodies and gloves to conceal their identity, broke into the building and forced open the ATM machine,” state RCMP.

“A non-disclosed amount of cash was taken. A white truck was observed on the security footage in the area prior to the break-in.”
