UPDATE – LOCATED: Ponoka RCMP look for missing man

Derek Morris went missing from the Centennial Centre June 13

UPDATE: Ponoka RCMP confirmed Morris is located and safe.

Ponoka RCMP ask the public’s assistance in locating a missing 30-year-old man.

Police say Derek Morris was last seen in the area of the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury in Ponoka on June 13 at approximately 4 p.m.

Morris is described as Caucasian at about 5’5” tall weighing 189 pounds. He is said to have brown hair and blue eyes with a Mandarin script tattoo on his right forearm.

Police say Morris was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark grey T-shirt, carrying a black and lime green backpack.

It is believed that Derek Morris is in the Red Deer area.
