Upon the officer’s arrival the suspect vehicle was located in a field off of C & E Trail. The Officer noted a female in her late 40’s in the driver’s seat.

Ponoka officers arrived on scene shortly after and entered an impaired driving investigation. This file remains open for further investigation.

On May 15, 2019 the Ponoka RCMP responded to a complaint of an intoxicated male in Golden Leisure Lodge at the Ponoka General Hospital who continued to return after being escorted from the property numerous times. Police attended the hospital and were flagged down by a security guard who explained the ongoing occurrence in the facility.

A 43-year-old male was found sleeping in a chair inside the lobby of the Golden Leisure Lodge. The male had an overpowering smell of alcohol.

When the officer spoke to the male, slurred speech was noticed. The male was arrested for adult mischief, disturbing the peace, trespass at night and was arrested.

The male was later released on an undertaking with conditions related to this file and will appear in Ponoka Court to speak to his charges.
